Hunter Moonstrike features diverse enemy types and challenging boss battles, providing a thrilling and varied experience that keeps players engaged and on their toes.
Хороший мод, но можно было бы его еще улучшить, удачи
This was actually pretty cool, maybe fix the bugs so the game won't suck.
Where's the review?
Literally just the best Carnivores 2 mod I've tried to date. It keeps the spirit of the original alive while literally just adding so many dinosaurs and features. Really like it.
There is a big nugget of gold buried in this mod, 9 out 10 because it's just a technical challenge to start it up or deal with the constant crashes and save file corruption.
It's crazy the amount of time Leyder (LEADERgry) spent develop this.
It's very cryptic, but so is life.

very *artistic*
!!!!!!!!!
I will keep this short
Pros: Good gameplay, extremely well map design, World Building made sense and felt like a well written story.
Feels like A machine for Pigs with better gameplay elements.
Cons: Enemies walking across a section in front of player becomes overused.
TLDR: A solid custom story, it's up there with The Great Work
From the mysterious and talented Neil Manke/Black Widow Games, They Hunger is a creepy, funny, and surreal mod that has stood the test of time...for the most part.
Divided into three episodes, the first one is the strongest, helping set the tempo with challenging but fun gameplay and some solid environmental storytelling. Part 2 is a mixed bag with some tedious combat and mazelike places such as the sewers. Part 3 is where the mod somewhat crumbles with copy-paste setpieces, imbalanced difficulty, and a ****-poor final boss only redeemed by a cathartic ending and intriguing intro in the hospital. Props to anyone who somehow has beaten this mod on hard mode - even normal mode in Part 3 is next-to-impossible at times.
While rough in some spots, They Hunger is a must-play for any HL1 fan - as well as USS Darkstar, Manke's other gem.
This mod really tries to be Entropy: Zero, without anything that made it good.
While it is not an awful mod, and generally speaking, it is decent, the flaws and problems, on top of stupid decisions really make it not as great as some might say.
First of all, Chapter 7 is basically unbeatable without cheats, due to being unable to obtain the pickaxe at the start of it. That is NOT good, you SHOULDNT have to cheat, to progress.
Second of all, some weapons for no reason get nerfed, like RPG having only 1 rocket, MP7 having less ammo (no buff to compensate), and Pistol needin more shots to kill a HEadcrab, and overall getting a nerf too. Meanwhile Melee has like x2 damage, Shotgun has 18 more reserve rounds, and Magnum has more reserve ammo too. Like, HUH?
Level and puzzle design, isn't bad, but it isn't always obvious where to go, still, most of the time, you will know.
Also, the environments feel very... Empty. Like, very often, I would see empty rooms or hallways with NOTHING in them, except big props. Put some buckets around, boxes, some trash props etc. To make it feel more REAL. Like come on.
Generally speaking, the Mod is decent fun, but it's genuinenly problematic... Problems, make it a 5 in my eyes. Far from perfect.
July 2024.
Mod's a mess.
Don't play until it's finished, maybe in 10 years.
Retarded shite.
Combat aren't hard, they're factually retarded.
Puttin 2 giga zillions hp on a trash mob isn't hard, it's incompetent trash.
Never make a mod again, you don't understand jack **** about VtMB.
Nah bro
Very fun, some bugs but excited for more
The first thing you see when you boot up this mod is an unintentional jumpscare at the splash screen :)
The mod is about discovering ancient ruins and finding an idol, not unlike Kasperg's old works (Vilcabamba / Sandscroll / Idol Hunt). The idea is fun, the mapping and brushwork are a bit basic but not bad, looks like something that came out in early 2000s. After walking a while you get hit with the unintentional scare number two: Falling off the cliff makes the main character make a blood-curdling scream. The last time I've heard that scream was from Penumbra years and years ago, way to give me flashbacks :)
The hands and enemies are re-textured. Hands don't look that good, but the enemies are fine. I liked the new zombie but didn't get what the houndeye is supposed to be. There are fun ideas but they're not implemented that well. You have to jump across platforms with swinging boulders but they don't hurt you or push you down, you can just stand in front of and block them. There's a stealth section but it's not set up to fail when the enemy sees you, I think there's a trigger you touch instead. What that means is you can just shoot all enemies from afar, they'll never attack or you'll lose the stealth section as long as you don't step in that trigger.
There are other strange design decisions here. For example you can select training and it'll load up a black screen with the text "Sorry but there's no training map yet." But there is a map, you've specifically created it to display that text :) Why not completely disable training instead? Another example, the first map takes five seconds to complete, you just walk down a corridor and the second map loads, weird stuff.
I mainly focused on the negative aspects for feedback but that doesn't mean the mod is bad. It's a fun but short tomb raiding adventure that you can complete in one sitting. I'm adding a couple of extra points to my actual score because I think the creator is talented and just needs more practice. Also, thank you for creating a fun and different adventure instead of yet another Black Mesa escape story. We need more like this these days.
Very creative; love the models! this mod just really goes to show the creativity of Inspector and his team. Good job, all!
One of the best mods.
I really liked this gamе!
The sound design in Hunter Moonstrike enhances the atmosphere and tension of the game, contributing to the overall sense of immersion and excitement as players navigate through the perilous world.
