The player controls a plane whose allegiance is one of three WWII nations: Britain, Russia, and Germany. The game ignores factions such as America, Japan, and Italy. Each nation has several unique fighter planes which are collected and then used during the campaign. The campaign spans the entire course of the war. During the single-player campaign the player earns stats, achievements, new planes, and commendations.

RTX Remix

RTX Remix is a modding platform by NVIDIA, which allows modders to create stunning HD remasters of classic games (see all supported), with ray tracing and DLSS. Playing RTX mods requires a RT capable GPU. Learn more here.

Additional installation instructions:

Get the game
Download the Remix runtime and move the downloaded files to the game directory
Put the dxvk.conf file in the game directory

Issues:

Set the tree quality to minimum
Game generates lots of bmp files in the main directory. Probably there is a screenshot key causing this but unfortunately there is no option to rebind keys. Open up powershell at that directory then enter Remove-Item '*.bmp' for cleanup
Sky isn't working
Fonts disappear after returning to menu from a level
Culling
Broken motion vectors on props
Alt + Tab crashes the bridge (non consistant behaviour)
Hashes are mostly stable, exceptions are: Control surfaces of aircraft, the white line wings create, raindrops, bullet casings, some other vfx.
